Monster 4

I finally finished the book Monster, and I really liked the ending. I thought that it was going to be a book with a sad ending, because of the title of the book. I thought that Steve was going to be convicted and was going to be stuck in prison for the rest of his life. I would have been really angry becuase Steve was a good kid, and he was being taken advantage of by criminals.

The book ended with Steve being let free, which I thought was a really good ending. It showed that the jury wasn't being biased because Steve was a different race. I was really angry that the state was trying to use criminals to try and make Steve seem guilty. I really like how the book ended, becuase we get to see it through the perspective of Steve's movie again. I could really imagine watching the end of a movie. "cut to: the guards who were standing behind Steve move away from him. He has been found not guilty." (Myers 276) Even though you don't hear what Steve was thinking, we can see how he reacted, and I think that was a really good way to end the book.

That is why I really like the book Monster. I really like the ending, and I thought that the book had an overall good story. I never wanted to stop reading becuase I was bored. The story was pretty quick, and it was really easy to read. I think I might try to find other books by Walter Myers, and if anyone hasn't read monster yet, I would highly reccomend it.

Monster 3

I am still really enjoying the book monster. I really want to know how it ends, because I think it could go either way. I would highly suggest this book to any of my friends who want a pretty quick read. It has a lot of things that I really like. It is easy to read, it has a good story, and it is different than other books.

If any of my friends ask if I know any good books, I will probably tell them to read this book. I really like how it is written in movie script. It makes it really easy to read, and we get to know the main character Steve more because it is how he sees the movie. I also really like the story, and think others would too. It's about a court case, and Steve could end up in jail for a long time if he doesn't win. It's pretty intense. Finally, I would reccoment this book because it is different from any other book I have ever read. I feel like I really know Steve, because I constently see what he is seeing because the "movie" is how he saw everything. Also, in his notes, you get to see what he was thinking at that time. "The window was screened and I knew he couldn't see me, but I raised my hand anyway and waved to him. I wanted to tell Jerry that I loved him." This quote makes me sad because Steve in in jail and can't be with his family, even though he is innocent.

Those are the main reasons why I would reccoment this book to my friends. I hope that Steve is found innocent at the end of the book. It would make me pretty mad if he was found guilty, but I think that he will probably be found innocent. I also like all of the lawyer parts because I think its pretty interesting and we did stuff like that last year in government class.

Monster 2

So far I really like the book Monster, but there are some parts of the book that make me kind of angry. I don't like how the government is making deals with the criminals to get other people in jail. It doesn't seem fair to me, because the criminals are obviously going to lie to get a lesser sentence. It's just putting innocent people in jail, and that kind of makes me angry.

I think the book is really well writtetn, and I keep wanting to read more even though it kind of makes me angry. Its not an anger that makes me want to stop reading though, it just makes me hope that Steve, the main character in the book, is innocent in the end. I hope that all of the criminals that have been testifying against Steve are exposed as liars. I hate how Steve is innocent, but getting testified agaisnt just because there are people who want to keep themselves out of jail. It just isn't fair.

That is how I feel about this book so far. I really do like it, and it shows events that actually do happen in real life. This is something I think is really interesting, it just makes me kind of angry. I hope that the book stays as interesting, because its been really easy to get into.

Monster

So far, I have really liked the book monster. I wasn't really sure if I was going to like it, because I thought that it was kind of weird that it was written in movie script. I thought that it would be hard to follow, and that we wouldn't get to know the characters as well as if it were a normal book. I haven't read a lot of the book yet, but so far it has been really easy to understand, and you can easily relate to the main character. I really like the plot of the book and I want to keep reading to find out what happens.

I feel bad for the main character, because he's in prison for a crime he didn't do. Because the book is written in movie script, we usually don't get to see what he was thinking. However, there are some parts of the book where its in handwriting, and these parts are all about what's happening to him and what he's thinking. I really like these parts because its when I feel the closest to the main character. I like being able to see what he's thinking and I think that its really cool how the author put these parts into the book. I hope there are more of these parts as the book continues.

I have really liked this book so far and I'm excited to keep reading. I almost didn't choose this book becuase of how it was written, but I'm glad that I did. It's not like any other book that I've read before, and I think that it is really cool. I really want to find out how it ends.

Night

"We continued to walk until we came to a crossroads. Standing in the middle of it was, though I didn't know it then, Dr. Mengele, the notorious Dr. Mengele. He looked like the typical SS officer: a cruel, though not unintelligent, face, complete with monocle." (31)
This quote is sad to me, becuase I think it would be really hard to be seperated from my family like he was. I have also heard about Dr. Mengele in history classes, and I think it is really sad to think that he got to choose who lived and who died. Because of him, thousands of people were burned just because he didn't think that they were strong enough. It's hard to believe someone had that kind of power. I also want to know what happened to his sister and his mother, because the book didn't say what happened to them.
